About Us

In 1993, we started a general construction business known as Swarey Construction. For many years we did a large variety of work including both new and existing construction. Beginning in 2013 we saw a need for spray foam insulation service and began to investigate it, soon shifting our focus completely to the spray foam insulation business.

Today we are a family owned and operated company serving Berks and surrounding counties. We insulate residential, agricultural and commercial spaces. We strive for a clean and quality job every time. Our crews are trained and take great care in leaving the job site clean when the work is finished. 100% satisfaction is our goal.

Why Spray Foam

Insulation is rated based on how much heat flow reduction you have between the interior and exterior of a structure. A "resistance-value" R-value is assigned based on how well the insulation resist the conductive flow of heat per unit. The use of higher R-value insulation, such as spray foam, provides high R-value and an air seal with less thickness compared to fiberglass batt insulation or cellulose

Frequently Asked Questions

Will polyurethane foam support the growth of fungus or mold?

No. Mold and other micro-organisms require a food source, moisture and oxygen to live and grow. Since polyurethane foam is not a food source for mold and fungus, it does not support growth. However, materials adjacent to or in contact with the foam, such as wood, cellulose insulation, dry wall paper, dust and dirt may are food sources and may support growth.

Is spray foam insulation worth it?

The EPA's Energy Star Association has shown that monthly energy bills can be cut by up to 10% when air leaks are sealed and efficient insulation is installed. The initial cost of spray foam insulation is well worth the investment, when factoring in the overall savings that will be headed your way over the long term.

Can mold grow behind spray foam insulation?

As a product, spray foam insulation does not attract mold. And unlike wood or metal, spray foam does not rot, rust or deteriorate. ... It will control indoor humidity and condensation, and therefore prevent mold from growing and spreading.

Does spray foam insulation need a vapor barrier?

In houses with spray foam insulation, however, vapor barriers are not necessary. Quality closed cell foam insulation acts as a vapor barrier and does not absorb moisture; at the same time, the insulation prevents leakage by closing air gaps.

Can you spray foam the underside of your roof?

Open-cell spray polyurethane foam or closed-cell spray polyurethane foam (ccSPF) insulation can be sprayed along the underside of the roof sheathing to provide a conditioned and insulated attic space that can be durable and efficient in all climate zones

Will spray foam keep pipes from freezing?

More often than not, spray foam insulation is successfully used to mitigate freezing pipes. ... Adding spray foam insulation to the interior wall of a crawlspace or basement will stop that cold air infiltration, and allow the pipe to remain in a conditioned space insulated from that cold air.

Should you spray foam your roof?

Spray foam insulation applied to your roof deck is superior to traditional ceiling insulation, because it deters the heat before it enters your house.

Is spray foam good for metal buildings?

Spray polyurethane foam (SPF) is a premium building insulation utilized widely in structures of all types, including metal buildings. When applied in the walls, floors and ceiling, the material delivers numerous benefits including durability, energy efficiency and comfort.
